Java / C / C++ Developer

Description

Design for scalability; create data models and UML diagrams asneeded.With other senior developers, determine best technologies and framework(s) for the applications. Plan development iterations and schedules.Adhere to assigned project schedules. Coordinate activities with PM and other project developers.Manage development and test environment installation, configuration, backup/recover & performance tuning.Coordinate and manage internal and customer integration testing.Optimize performance at server or application levels.Coordinate with Operations for capacity planning, monitoring and diagnostics of production application.Participate in and contribute to internal training and review sessions. Requirements 7+ years software development experience7+ years experience developing in Java, C/C++ for a Unix/Linux/Windows environmentExperience building OO systems using a structured methodology; experience in iterative development preferredExperience delivering products and components for a Unix/Linux/Windows environmentExperience with SOAP, XMLRPCExperience developing with open sourcetype librariesExperience/knowledge with RDBMS preferably MySQLExperience with technologies such as single fault tolerance, firewalls, proxy servers, etc.Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies such as HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, sockets, UDP, DNSAbility and willingness to support a 24/7 research and production environment.
