Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle Provide technical support to business users Recommend and propose improvements to Focus system Software development Technical writing and documentation Gather and document requirements Development and implementation of new markets and products Develop reports as needed to solve business problems Utilize SharePoint repository for project documentation Use Spark CVS source code repository Utilize NUnit testing framework Provide weekly status reports Research and analysis JOB REQUIREMENTS JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Software maintenance and development (enhancements, new functionality, etc.) Read and assimilate requirements Technical writing and documentation Utilize SharePoint repository for documentation Use CVS source code repository Utilize NUnit testing framework Provide weekly status reports JOB REQUIREMENTS Firm Requirements VB and ASP.NET (5+ years) SQL Server (5+ years) Very solid understanding of relational databases Above average analysis and troubleshooting skills Development (8 years), 5 years VB.NET experience Ability to develop well written technical documentation Solid analysis and issue resolution skills Team centric Process oriented and detailed oriented Positive attitude Solid written and verbal communication skills Proficient with MS Office suite Ability to work in a fast paced project environment Willingness to be accountable for meeting all deliverable dates for task assingments Prefer/Nice to Have Energy Experience Experience with NUnit testing Firm Requirements VB.NET and ASP.NET OOP skills Very solid understanding of relational databases SQL Server experience including developing triggers & views 4+ years development experience Experience with NUnit testing Ability to develop well written technical documentation Solid analysis and issue resolution skills Team centric Process oriented and detailed oriented Positive attitude Better than average written and verbal communication skills Proficient with MS Office suite Prefer/Nice to Have Experience in the Energy Sector Familiarity with EDI Transactions
