Solaris Administrator

Description

A Senior Solaris Systems Administrator with five or more years experience with Sun Solaris Systems. Worker needs experience in creating and troubleshooting complex Boerne and KShell scripts, Perl a plus. Worker needs hands on experiences with open source systems monitoring tools such as Hobbit, xymon, Big Brother, or Nagios and adding additional monitoring scripts through scripting. Experience with Solaris O/S patching and Firmware patches and establishing methodologies for patch rollouts. Also, experience with additional Solaris implementation of Zones, LDOMS, ZFS filesystems, storage pools, snaps, clones, and containers and experience with Symantec Storage Foundation Suite, Solaris Disk Suite, Volume Manager, and Veritas Clusters Additional Experience with the following commercial monitoring packages is a plus I3, Wily, ITCAM. Experience with setting up Secure File Transfer Methods for data transfers using SSLFTP or SFTP. Experience troubleshooting Network related issues and the administrator needs to have a solid understanding of vlans, routers, switches, firewalls, and access control listsStrong Troubleshooting and Problem Identification Skills are needed to assist teams with problem resolution.
