Business Objects Administrator

Description

This position will provide development and infrastructure support for the systems Business Objects Enterprise environments. Support analysts for Business Intelligence product support will be expected to have the skills and experience needed to provide 3rd tier support of Business Intelligence tools including Business Objects Enterprise, Web Intelligence Reports, Business Objects Universes, Xcelsius visualizations and Crystal Reports. They will be part of a team of 10 analysts providing support and are expected to have indepth technical experience in deploying, supporting, and administering the tools. This role involves communicating with business partners and other support areas within and outside of the Systems Department and State Farm. RESPONSIBILITIES Monitoring and tuning Business Objects Enterprise XIR2 product performance in a Windows or UNIX environment. Testing new releases/fixes/service packs Installing and tuning the product on servers in UNIX and Windows environments Coordinating the release and issuance of new products to client workstations Monitoring product performance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, system configuration Experience working with business partners in supporting their Business Intelligence tool needs. This role will require 7 x 24 hour support. These analysts will be expected to be on a rolling call list to provide after hours support. High levels of customer service and communication skills are required for this role.
