Required BS/BA 5 years Exp and MCSEEnvironment 400 servers, 15000 users. email is half Unix and half Exchange 2003 May move everything to 2017 down the road but not a requirement for this jobThe LAN Systems group consists of Microsoft operating systems administrators and network administrators who oversee and manage the servers and infrastructure constituting the client Microsoft domain. This LAN environment spans all three client campuses and contains approximately 100+ servers both physical and virtual, utilizing VMware ESX 3.5, and over 12,500 domain accounts. The group manages over 200 TB of storage including 50 TB of file sharing storage on a NetApp NAS cluster, a NetApp 270c for the Medical School, and an HA VMware deployment using Equallogic iSCSI storage. This position's key responsibilities include installation, configuration, securing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support of the Windows 2000/2003 servers that make up the client domain. In addition this position will be involved in tasks such as storage management with CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, FC protocols, login scripting; MS Exchange support; SMS; MOM; project participation; virus protection; evaluation and implementation of third party products; performance and tuning; capacity planning; change control; problem resolution; and liaison with other system administration groups. A Bachelor's degree and at least five years of related technical experience is required. Requires the following 1) At least Five years experience in systems administration in a Windows 2000/2003 environment; 2) Experience with MS BackOffice products such as Exchange, SMS, MOM, IIS and SQL Server; 3) Experience with an Active Directory Services environment; 4) Experience working in a large, decentralized, multiplatform, multiprotocol production environment; 5) Solid project management and technical planning experience with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects; and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.The following technical experience is required 1) Expert knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server and Active Directory; 2) Expert knowledge of Exchange 2003; 3) Expert knowledge of WINS, TCP/IP and experience working with DDNS and DHCP; 4) Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2003/2017 5) Experience with MOM and SMS 6) Experience with scripting (batch file, KiXtart, VB Script, Powershell language; 7) Experience with SAN StorageExperience with the following is a plus MIIS, LDAP, BIND DNS, NetScreen Firewall, Legato Networker, Trend Micro Server Protect, NTP Quota and File Sentinal, application servers, Web servers, and gateways.
