DATA MODELER

Description

The Data Modeler will work as part of the Information Management Team in the FUSION Program. The FUSION Programs mission is to bring together Constellation operations, processes and information in order to deliver product, service and quality that exceed both our customers expectations and our competitors capabilities. The Data Modeler will be responsible for integrating various regional data warehouse sources into a single data warehouse. They will work closely with a lead data modeler to interpret requirements and translate them into a logical and physical data model. The data modeler will also work with business analysts to translate requirements into logical and physical models and with engineers to ensure that designs are being developed to specifications. Responsibilities Interface with business analysts to translate requirements and map them against a current logical data model in order to update and modify the existing logical model. Develop and finalize physical database model Develop source to target data mappings by mapping process models to data models Design ODS structures for landing data from various source systems into a single data warehouse Develop documentation around the flow of data and data standardization Interface with development teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and develop technical solutions. Performs other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent knowledge/experience is required. 5+ ​ years of experience in data modeling Experience working within an Oracle environment Some SQL Server and JD Edwards experience would be a plus Strong Data Warehouse concepts Strong experience in logical and physical modeling A minimum of 3 years with data modeling tools (Erwin, SQL Developer Data Modeler, ER/Studio etc) Excellent writing skills for technical documentation Must have excellent communication skills to work with teams in different locations Must be a self started and independent Ability to work well with individuals at all levels in the organization. Ability to adapt and react quickly to changing business needs. ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time Primary work environment is professional corporate office Ability to travel commercially
