Description
As a contractor on the Southfield development group you will be working with a team of highlyskilled application developers on an exciting, challenging, and highprofile project. You will be working in a highperformance environment where crossteam learning and collaboration is strongly cultivated. You will be responsible for technical design, development, and maintenance of a strategic initiative primarily using Java and webrelated technologies. Required Qualifications/Technical Skills Minimum 5+ years Java programming experience. Java EE Servlets, JSP, Tag Libraries, Filters, Listeners, JDBC Web Technologies HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, HTTP protocol Database SQL, Hibernate ORM Development Rational Application Developer (Eclipse) Desired Qualifications BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field. Experience in Insurance Industry, specifically Worker's Compensation The web environment is running on WebSphere using a custom framework, modeled off proven design patterns and methodologies, designed specifically for our development needs. You will be expected to quickly learn the framework and extend it's functionality. The project is slated to end in August 2010 but could possibly be extended. Responsibilities include Design, develop, test, document, and maintain code. Estimate and plan development work, track and report on task progress, and deliver work on schedule. Work within a structured development environment that includes version control and design reviews. Work with a project manager and business analysts to create scope and release plans.
