Citrix Systems Engineer

Description The System Engineer is responsible for performing technical administration and/or problem and project analysis duties, as well as system design and development of methods to process information. This position is also responsible for producing specific deliverables relating to operational support and management. The System Engineer occasionally leads staff members and peers on projects. The incumbent works independently and typically requires supervision on complex tasks only. CHD Meridian currently serves more than 100 clients in 34 states, CHD Meridian Healthcare offers onsite health centers that deliver primary care, acute care, corporate health, occupational health and pharmacy care management services as well as integrated disease management, wellness and lifestyle management programs. CHD Meridian Healthcare provides a comprehensive solution utilizing telephonic and ehealth tools to enhance the trusted relationship established by its clinicians at the worksite Responsibilities Works as a team member on complex technical projects and problems. Completes assigned technical projects on time (e.g., analysis, designing, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, production support, documentation, etc.). Occasionally leads peers on projects. Performing project management activities such as planning, sizing, configuration, and scheduling. Analyzes problems, develops and implements solutions, and makes decisions that significantly improve system availability. Acts as a subject matter expert on assigned systems and products. Resolves escalated complex issues within the established timeframes while providing quality customer service. Act as oncall support on a rotating basis. Ensure areas of responsibility are SOX compliant. Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for implementation. Proactively monitors and controls all production systems to maximize systems availability. Continually works to improve services while maximizing cost effectiveness to the Company and Customer. Develop and implement written policies, standards, and guidelines related to areas of responsibility. Develop performance metrics and service level agreements that align information technology with the requirements of the business and customer. Meet or exceed defined performance metrics and service level agreements. Experience and Skills 6+ years of relevant work experience. Strong technical and analytical skills PC and desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, etc.) Indepth knowledge of information systems concepts Strong knowledge of applicable methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures Demonstrated decisionmaking and leadership abilities Strong organizational and problem solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills 3 to 5 years with handson experience in the following technologies/protocols o System and Network troubleshootingo Windows 2000 and 2003 Servero Windows clusteringo NAS and SAN technologies (HP and EMC preferred).o Server consolidation strategies. (Virtualization).o Backup hardware, software (prefer Galaxy CommVault), and processes.o Server network configuration and troubleshooting. (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, NICs)o Citrix configuration and administration.o Network Administration (Firewalls, VPN, switches, and Routers).o System and network monitoring technology. Experience in developing/managing disaster recovery capability Experience evaluating and facilitating the recommendation of various solution options, including creation of a solution base case. Ability to apply technical solutions to business problems is required. Experience in an organization with distributed locations and a centralized data center and overall operations would be a plus.
