COGNOS Administrator

Description

This person will be responsible for Deployments, administrating services, spacing and capacity, troubleshooting, assist with builds of Cognos and ETL products. Addl Job Info The resource will spend about 80% of the time speaking with internal customers so this person must be able to communicate extremely well over the phone. Not only someone we can speak well, but the must be able to truly understand what the customer is looking for them to resolve. Job Info Why is position open The client is upgrading its application, VPR View Portfolio Reporting. Based on this upgrade they are in need of additional resources to help in deploying and supporting there Cognos enviornment on there Unix servers. They are business casual attire and they are very even keel group since the have to work with very high stress issues from time to time and have to keep there cool with customers. Technical Environment (Memo) AIX/Unix and Cognos 7.5 to 8.1, MQ Series, DataStage, Informatica Technical Skills (Memo) 3 to 5 years of Cognos system administration Other Skills (Memo) Any experience or exposure to DataStage, Informatica and AIX Unix is going to be a huge plus, but not required. Shifts / Hours Its a day shift, however they will have to be flexible to work on the weekends for new update deployments as well as some On call work to be 3rd level support for the Cognos environment.
