EDI System Analyst

Description

Responsibilities Identify key delivery dependencies with internal projects and external vendors. Work with Architect to define deliverable structure. Lead design discussions in close coordination with the architect and engage the architect is decision making process for all design related issues. Provide backup to architect when unavailable. Coordinate and lead design sessions to assist efforts related to technical requirements, high level and detailed design, development, test and deployment. Define contingency plans for the project with input from architect. Provide guidance and coaching to Developers, Data Analysts in all areas of the SDLC. Provide direction to Business Analysts for business requirements definition and bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions to achieve optimal results. Provide assistance and support for prioritization of functional areas that require detailed business requirements to be driven out first, so technical requirements can be defined. Assist in providing direction with scope and approach by working with the endusers to define scope and objectives. Technical skill sets Broad knowledge of HIPAA EDI transactions (5010 a plus). Experience in Systems Analysis in a distributed environment. Experience in data analysis at the field and file level. Ability to analyze incoming schemas and understand how to format the files based on industry standards like NSF, UB92, HCFA, Microsoft HIPAA Schemas, etc. Solid understanding of modeling and logical system modeling. Ability to take a development task and build the design, the mapping, and understand the interfacing. Experience with technical documentation and the ability to apply it to the SDLC and Agile methodologies. Ability to understand how files translate within a Service Oriented environment. 10+ years of software development experience Familiarity/Experience with BizTalk 2009. Familiarity/Experience with Microsoft .NET. Understanding of database methodologies and how to integrate within a solution. Knowledge of design patterns for realtime and batch processing systems.
