DataStage ETL Expert

Description

Design, develop, test, debug, implement and maintain ETL Extract, Transformation and Load workflows, mappings, shell scripts, and stored procedures to support the data warehouse and reporting, clearly documenting the processes Create and execute unit tests on all solutions while optimizing ETL processes Review and assess business rules, project plans, development and test specifications Perform source to target data mapping Perform data analysis Provide development support for existing systems Create system documentation Prepare and maintain project plans, coordinate development activities between onsite and offshore teams Plan, schedule and coordinate changes with ISG teams and clients to maximize effectiveness of system Collaborate with business users/developers to provide required data, analysis and reports Coordinate communication of technology requirements with ISG technicians, consultants, etc. Provide ongoing maintenance and support of assigned production ETL processes Monitors performance of production ETL processes and responds to errors and emergency problems Troubleshoot and resolve data and/or system issues Perform other related duties as assigned or required Typical Minimum Experience 5+ years experience in ETL/Data warehouse development Advanced knowledge in DataStage ETL tool and its administration Proficient in Cognos BI Reporting tool Highly proficient in SQL, DB2 and Oracle PL/SQL Proficient in one or more of major data modeling tools such as Erwin, Data Architect Solid experience in analyzing query performance issues and modifying data structures or application code to remedy performance problems Excellent understanding of relational and dimensional data models
