Senior DeveloperResponsibilities Design and write code for standardsbased travel applications that scale to highvolume production quality; Prototype creative solutions quickly, and lead others in crafting and implementing your great technical vision; Strong background in C++ & Java programming skills, with an emphasis on UI simplicity and backend scalability & performance; Work with offshore engineering team to support and accelerate implementation and testing.Requirements Minimum of 10+ years of experience in their respective fields in building and shipping consumerfacing products across multiple product cycles BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related engineering field. Expert level skills with C++ & Java Solid understanding of web application technologies and experience working in a Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) Demonstrated objectoriented development experience with large complex commercial and business applications Ability to move between high level architectural review / design and roll up the sleeves types of assistance across all phases of an application development project Proven track record of working and delivering within an agile software development shop. Experienced agile leadership preferred. Outstanding leadership skills and good strategic thinking Great problem solving skills and high intellectual horsepower Strong passion for new ideas and can take a position on how they would be best tested Ability to drive results across multidisciplinary groups including engineering, design, user research, marketing, planning and business strategy Excellent written and verbal communication including complete command of English language Good sense of humor, love of innovation and change Success building and managing highly talented, geographically distributed, software development teams Active engagement in hiring the best and be effective in people development to ensure organization agility Experience working with or directing offshore development teams.
