Position Description/Responsibilities This is a ten month contract position in downtown Jacksonville, FL (32202). Successful candidate will be responsible for management of the entire project lifecycle from project definition/scope through implementation. Develop project plan and drive project milestones. Employ project management methodologies and tools, like MS Project. Identify, coordinate, and manage resources and key stakeholders for project. Ensure effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Manage all communication plans, training and documentation. Deliver projects on time, at/under budget and within scope. Communicate project status to all stakeholders on a regular basis throughout the lifecycle of the project. Position requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decisionmaking, analysis and problemsolving skills. Expert knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and Visio. 6+ years of prior experience in project management is required.The Work Force Management Project Manager will provide technology project leadership support for the railroad. At this level the incumbent should already have a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible technology project management experience, and this should include a strong history of successful technology project implementation within the railroad industry. In addition, the candidate must have significantly participated in the analysis, design, and successful implementation of several largescale technology projects. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Successful candidate should consistently demonstrate superior technical skills in project planning and control including vendor governance, application and system design leadership ability. Candidate will need to demonstrate expertise in the following areas PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS The incumbent will consistently demonstrate individual project management ability, including planning, preparation, and participation in design and implementation reviews, and incorporate current system methodologies including the Project Process and Information Engineering models (CMMI, PMI, ITIL, etc). Railroad technology project management experience is a mandatory requirement. Enterprisewide Systems Design The incumbent will consistently provide effective application system design solutions utilizing interpretive technical skills while considering cost benefits, technical, and operational feasibility. Application & Platform Development Support Application architecture should be fully comprehended. The incumbent should provide operational direction for client application development areas, demonstrating the ability to assist in the planning and preparation of platform designs while providing consistent standardsbased methodologies.
