Informatica/Hyperion/Data Warehouse Developer

Description

We are looking for an individual with extensive Data Warehouse development experience, including business analysis, system architecture, Oracle development, and ETL (extract, transform, and load) activities. Position RequirementsKnowledge Relational database and procedural programming concepts and techniques Database tuning techniques Logical database design (data modeling) techniques Retail or CPG Business Models EnterpriseWide Reporting Systems Business Analysis Skills Strong analytical and interpersonal skills Extensive experience with Data Warehouse development (typically acquired over 5 to 10 years of professional experience with multiple different Data Warehouse implementations) Strong relational database programming skills (typically acquired over 3 years of professional experience) Experience Hyperion a must Strong ETL skills, particularly Informatica PowerCenter (typically acquired over 3 years of professional experience) Oracle database programming skills (typically acquired over 2 years of professional experience with Oracle and PL/SQL) UNIX shell scripting skills (preferred)Data modeling skills using Oracle Designer/2000 a plus Experience with SQLServer (DTS/SSIS) is highly desired Experience with Cognos Framework Manager desired In this position there will be many opportunities for Demonstration of a Customer Service OrientationJudgment/Problem Solving Demonstration of Quality Orientation/Attention to Detail Teamwork Influencing/Leadership Planning/Organizing High Visibility Initiative/Continuous Learning/Selfdirection Position ResponsibilitiesThe Data Warehouse Team is responsible for providing end users with structured and adhoc access to reporting data for the entire enterprise. The platform is Oracle RDBMS on HPUX with Hyperion.Insight for reporting. Specific responsibilities include Manage data warehouse activities in Oracle (extract and load processes, sourcetotarget mapping, data quality). Primary focus is on Informatica PowerCenter and customwritten processes that load an Oracle data warehouse. Provide offhours oncall support every 3 to 4 weeks. Work closely with business users, team members, and Oracle DBA's, to design, develop, and implement changes to the data warehouse. Participate in Data Architecture for the data warehouse and Data Modeling using Oracle Designer/2000.
