EDI Data Exchange Specialist

Description

Perform project coordination and analytical activities related to the corporations EDI & Electronic Data Exchange initiatives and business activities. Defines and develops system requirements related to specifications, testing and implementation for all EDI initiatives and data exchange within the department. Collaborates with external and internal parties to upgrade, expand and improve participation, effectiveness and reliability of the organizations EDI and Electronic Information Exchange offerings and support compliance to regulatory requirements. Working Knowledge of HIPAA security, transactions /code sets /electronic information exchange and security requirements Extensive knowledge of data analysis methodology and analytical tools and reporting systems Strong root cause, data analytical and research skills, requirements development and implementation skills Must have a thorough knowledge of HIPAA and ANSI standards and how these standards affect ongoing business operations of the company Provider, Payer, and vendor relationships and Practice Management software and systems Must have a technical background in areas such as software troubleshooting, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), text and graphics packages, technical writing/software documentation, PCs, gateways and networks. Sterling Commerce EDI software working experience a plus, including B2B Integration Managed File Transfer Enterprise Integration
