High Level Job Description IT Project Manager Financial Systems Responsible for the coordination and completion of integration (acquisition) projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project and time/budget performance metrics. May require a bachelor's degree and at least 6 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Job Description The position requires an advanced skill level in the following competencies ,br Independently facilitate discussions to define work breakdown structures, estimate work effort and resource load project plans utilizing Microsoft Project and Project Server Independently facilitate discussions to resolve complicated crossteam issues Independently track progress on team activities and direct corrective action in the event that tasks fall behind schedule Independently measure progress and report results to project leadership and client Independently build relationships with team members and project stakeholders Application of Governance to prioritize and apply change control to optimization requests Assembling and delivering written and verbal communication Executing formal project management methodologies (People, Process, Information, and Technology) and the Project Management Lifecycle Ability to work within a fastpaced, high pressure project delivery teamWill set and manage budgets. Track financial progress and relate to scope completed EVA a plus.BR.This role requires an innate ability to multitask, abovepar skills in managing up and down the organization as well as the skill of working in a fast paced, changing environment where successful dealing with ambiguity is key. Thorough knowledge of business applications/software with a niche on packaged/configurable systems.The selected candidate may oversee a team of FTEs/Contractors, provide guidance, mentoring, employee midyear and annual reviews and overall manage the group and additional project resources as needed.Work closely with other technical team members both internal and external to effectively and efficiently coordinate and address business/system needs.Travel Requirements Must have ability to independently travel between locations in Westchester. May have occasional travel to Chicago and Dallas.
