System Automation Test Engineer

Description

Translate end user requirements into value added test cases. Creation & execution of acceptance and system test cases. Creation and verification of detailed Change Requests Reporting and tracking of test results Lab planning and setup Participate in knowledge transfer training. Duplication and associated investigation of escalation field issues. Interface with Technical Support, Development and Product Management during trouble investigation. Working knowledge of Basic electrical power management and distribution and use of PDUs in a data center environment Extensive user experience with Linux including commandline tools, network configuration, software installation, and performance profiling. SW tool experience ssh/scp/rsync postgresql console cvs Eventum perl/bash scripting HP test tools suite Open Source test tools such as TestLink, etc SNMP management Design and implement software automation techniques to improve test execution, reliability of test results and improve overall time to market. Ability to create and execute load, stress test, and perform automated testing for web and / or client server applications. Understanding of System Test best practices as well as the dynamics of the entire project lifecycle. Excellent analysis, troubleshooting, and technical skills. Accountability and the ability to multitask/manage changing priorities. Selfmotivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required. Experience with Agile development methodology Team player
