Network Engineer

Description

These scopes of responsibilities for this job are implementation and support of the Corporate WAN and LAN, including, Network Security and Remote Access, Routing, Switching, Enterprise wireless, and Application Networking and much more. This position reports directly to the Networking & Operations Manager and works closely with Enterprise Technical Assistance Center (ETC) and Engineering for internal support. Responsibilities include Provide LAN support on major campusesManage WAN service partner to support WANProvide network security by following industry standard network security practices and develop corporate standardsUse network monitoring and management tools to help manage the networkMaintain spare equipment, manage atrisk hardwareReview and replace atrisk and EOL equipment Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have extensive experience working with Cisco;RoutersSwitchesWirelessApplication Control EngineGlobal Site SelectorAdaptive Security ApplianceContent Services SwitchVPNVOIPQoSAll routing protocolsMust be able to work independently with strong organizational, analytical, time management and teamwork skills.Must have good understanding of Network Industry Standards and Network Security Practices.Must have good project management skillsGood written and verbal communication skills Good understanding of network performance and monitoring skillsGood understanding of Telephony skills
