UNIX System Administrator

Description

MTS provides technical support for more than 400 UNIX servers. Due to business requirements, a significant amount of production support work must be performed outside of normal business hours. The purpose for this position is to provide onsite support during the overnight period and on weekends during the normally scheduled server reboots. This position will provide overnight technical support for the MTS staff. The person hired for this position will participate in data migrations, server upgrades (hardware & software), patch and firmware updates, problem identification and troubleshooting, and will generally be the first point of contact for MTS production issues during the overnight period. Normal hours of coverage for this position will be Thursday Monday midnight to 9am.
