UX (user experience) Expert

Description

BS in Information Architecture, Information Design, Interaction Design, or related field Background in physical sciences, preferably chemistry, is required Minimum of 5 yrs of related experience is required Significant experience in a leadership position. Understands development methodologies such as RUP or Agile Work well in a dynamic atmosphere of idea sharing and brainstorming Comfortable working in a highly complex and technical environment Ability to communicate with technical, nontechnical and management audiences History of reaching across organizational boundaries and disciplines to achieve success Work with business analysts, UI designers and the development team on a complex search, retrieval, and analysis product Manage the User Experience (UX) within the SciFinder Product Development department and across the Division. Champion user experience within product development and across the organization Drive the user experience strategy and vision for SciFinder. Identify key areas for improvement and see the changes through to product introduction. Work to continuously improve the integration of UX into the development process by working across organizational boundaries Interact with customers to understand user needs and interpret their usage
