Description

Client is currently seeking a contract CA GEN developer (formerly known as Cool GEN or Advantage Gen) to join their team. As a developer at Conway, you will have the opportunity to exercise Agile Software Development Methodology and to work in a selfdirected team environment on all phases of the software development life cycle including Working closely with the Business Analyst to provide input in analyzing business and technical requirements Designing solutions for new applications and for enhancements/modifications to existing applications Estimating work requests Developing applications and conducting code and design reviews Executing appropriate testing strategy Implementing solutions and providing post implementation support QualificationsIdeal candidates will possess the following skills and experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of experience in IT solutions development, preferably in a medium to large corporate environment 3 to 5 years recent experience with CA GEN toolset and encyclopedia Understanding of the following JCL, SQL, DB2, CICS, TSO/ISPF Experience in all phases of software development life cycle methodologies and processes Demonstrated analytical capabilities including complex technical problem solving Effective communication skills Oncall support and occasional travel may be required The following skills are highly desirable Developing CA Gen Java proxy and working knowledge of CBD Working knowledge of GuardIEn, Changeman, TIBCO Experience in Agile Development Methodology Knowledge of transportation industry
