Description Manage all forms of geospatial component data within the Monsanto GIS platform Maintain information systems processes with the Client's GIS platform Collaborate with colleagues in business units to manage and direct information access o Maintain user access requests and permissions o Provide user support for authorized customers of the Client's GIS platform Coordinate internal GIS service requests; identify applications, datasets and methods for projects to expedite delivery of request and drive efficiencies throughout the enterprise Manage data updates on an ongoing basis to ensure component data is current based upon its sourcing Maintain geospatial data indexing system Identify new analysis opportunities for the business using the collective set of geospatial data Understand, collect, catalogue, clean and verify the accuracy of source data and documents Continue the development of Monsantos GIS data warehouse; ensuring the integrity, quality and accurate content and structure of database including georeferenced graphic, image data, metadata and attribute data Manage import/export of geospatial data within the platform including, but not limited to updates from EarthMap Solutions, USDA, Monsanto, weather data and other 3rd party data Provide GIS operational expertise Ensure appropriate database administration and quality control checks are performed on a routine basis by working with key IT resources within Monsanto Develop new data analysis concepts to further enhance storage and utilization of multiple data sets CORE BUSINESS AND FUNCTIONAL SKILLS AND EDUCATION. Minimum of a B.S degree in an agricultural discipline, Information Technology or related field 4 years GIS experience required Experience in ArcView and ArcGIS or other ESRI tools required Demonstrated proficiency with Internet/Intranets and MS Office suite of applications Strong analytical reasoning abilities Excellent communication skills, oral and written Ability to work in a team environment but function independently
