DB2 DBA

Description

ING is looking to bring a DB2 DBA on board to their team. The reason for this need is due to major release backfill needs. This is to replace a full time resource that was placed on another project. The manager is looking for an individual who is a self starter and able to get along with multiple team members within their environment. This backfill will be working on major initiatives such as their rehosting project and the migration of their DB2 environment on the HP UNIX platform over to HP Linux. They will be moving all 5 of their regions over to HP Linux. The version is V8V9.5. Currently their team supports design through production. MUST HAVES 1.) MUST be proficient as a DB2 DBA. This individual must have 5+ years of experience, administering databases between both a production support and working with the development team. They will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving production issues, replication, configuration, and installing and configuring instances. 2.) MUST be proficient in performance tuning. They will be responsible for performance tuning and SQL tuning, writing stored procedures and triggers within a DB2 environment. 3.) MUST be proficient in writing in DDL (Data Definition Language). This individual will be responsible for creating objects, table spaces and indexes. PLUSES QReplication experience
