Network Operations(Net Ops) Analyst Assistant

Description This position will be responsible for our Change Management process Receive work/outage advisories from other vendors to research and discern their impact on our infrastructure. Requires ability to review and understand Telecom engineering Method of Procedure forms . Research a Circuit Management database, Telecom Engineering Drawings database, and FIBERBASE (a fiber cable map routing database) to discern which customers will be impacted by scheduled activity. Document on our work calendar by creating a change management ticket in Picasso/Remedy and create advisory notification through Outlook. This position will also assist with Root Cause Analyst for all Fiber Cuts, Customer Notifications and network documentation/provisioning activities as directed by NetOps. Is willing to train on this but would prefer they have some experience with these type of tasks. Someone with Telecom IT experience would be helpful. Someone from AT&T, Bellsouth, TimeWarner, USLEC, Level 3, Palmetto Net, Spirit or Comporium would be a good . Tools FiberBase & MapInfo (GIS Mapping system), Remedy Held Desk System (Tickets), EMail (Outlook), Spreadsheets. Skills Professional communication skills, computer skills, experience reading and discerning network diagrams, as built maps, and experience with GIS, knowledge of Telecom fundamentals and terminology, experience working in an open Data Network or Telecom operations center environment a plus. REQUIRED Must have Remedy and Outlook experience. Prior Administrative experience, adept with end user applications.Prior experience (23 years) in telecommunications network operations highly desired.
