Description
The Senior /Lead Quality Assurance Analysts role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and methodologies for the information technology services within the organization. This individual will be required to participate in all levels of testing and making decisions regarding testing approaches, timelines and tasks. The role will also require the ability to work independently, set priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Position & Responsibilities Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles. Perform stress testing, load testing, and regression testing of applications as required. Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality. Create and execute test plans, test cases and test scenarios that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications. Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill enduser requirements, and identify existing or potential issues. Identify/work with development on the creation of test data needed for execution Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management. Conduct test case reviews to ensure scenarios accurately capture business functionality Utilize Quality Center for Test Case Creation, Test execution and to record, report and track defects. Take a lead role in configuring and supporting Quality Center usage based on project needs Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws. Adhere to the change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies. Participate in developing, distributing, and coordinating indepth enduser reviews for modified and new systems or applications. Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices. Verify and revise quality assurance standards as needed.
