This posting is for an INFORMATION ARCHITECT WellPoint is currently looking for a senior data architect with handson development skills to lead enterprise information architecture modeling efforts. The candidate should have strong experience in Data Architecture, Data Governance, SOA and in developing enterprise data models, data mapping documents, and semantic modeling. As part of this effort, the consultant will Facilitate solution definitions by synthesizing information across multiple domains Drive data analysis efforts to define common data formats to support specific projects Engage/Assemble/Define a data governance strategy to resolve data terminology/definition issues Perform conceptual data modeling and data mapping Conduct data quality assessments to validate solution options Produce supporting project documentation Requirements 7+ yrs experience in the IT profession, with 3+ years serving in an information architecture role 3+ yrs experience with Data Management, Data Integration and Data Quality efforts 5+ yrs conceptual, logical and physical data modeling experience at the enterprise level 5+ yrs experience with large relational databases in a high performance environment Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, PowerExchange, and MQ Series is highly desirable Experience with Healthcare industry is strongly preferred Strong communication/documentation skills and ability to work at many different levels throughout the organization Qualifications BS/BA degree in computer or information science discipline required Five years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; five years of experience in information technologies preferred 3+ years experience with Data Integration tools, projects, etc. Proven ability to lead crossenterprise initiatives Health care industry experience preferred Please note this postion is for a INFORMATION ARCHITECT Designs and builds relational databases. Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database. Cleans and maintains the database by removing and deleting old data. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area. 810+ years of experience. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.
