Oracle DBA with RAC

Description

As a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator, you will take care of daytoday DBA tasks and project work, some of which are 1) contributing to 24x7x365 staff coverage, through Oncall DBA rotation 2) execution of all Oracle database tasks within Magellan Database Service Level guarantees 3) monitoring, troubleshooting & resolution of failed tasks5) take part in database backup and recovery tasks using RMAN (strong Oracle RMAN backup & recovery skills)6) daily maintenance of Magellan Oracle databases, troubleshooting & resolving Oracle database issues, take action on issues reported by automated monitoring setup and having a sense of urgency to fix issues ASAP. 7) Implementation of new stored procedures and scripts, resolve complex stored procedure compilation issues, fix errors due to object grants/dependencies. Experience with PL/SQL Development and knowledge of SQL queries(preferably nested queries)8) Installing Oracle software & Creating Databases,schema(Knowledge of Database storage tablespaces, datafile)9) Expert handson experience on Oracle RAC, ASM, OEM, TOAD10) Working knowledge on the HPUX /Linux Operating System user commands, crontab, performance check 11) User Account Management creating database users, quota, roles, privileges, password management, connectivity issues listener/tnsnames/odbc etc. 12) Performance Tuning of Oracle Database & SQL, PL/SQL Queries. Conversant with AWR, ADDM 13) Refreshing development & test schema/tables using Export/import, Datapump 14) Expert level knowledge of creating and maintaining Tables, Partitioning, indexes, Global Temporary Tables, Triggers, stored proceduresMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1. Education BA/BS 2. Experience 7+ yrs handson experience as an Oracle DBA, Conversant with DataWarehousing Techniques, Oracle RAC, ASM, OEM, RMAN, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux Operating Systems,shell scriptingOTHER Good, preferably superior written & spoken communication skills Ability to work independently and as a team player. US Citizen or Green card holder
