Key Responsibilities Interact with customer to gather and define requirements from both a business and systems perspective by interpreting business needs and translating them to technical requirements and specifications to meet the need. Review and respond to documented issues related to a project (through a help ticket or other written documentation) and define requirements to address the issue. Train and develop junior team members in technical areas through oneonone development and ensure all necessary data is provided to trainers. Maintain status of SME on specific area of knowledge by researching and keeping current with new and anticipated technology within their area and related areas of expertise. Implement components (e.g. program, specifications, order, build, etc.) for complex IT solutions for new business demands and maintenance of business. Provide oversight of development work. Monitor the quality of the output to ensure end product meets required specifications. Troubleshoot more complex applications, infrastructure problems or other IT problem that may have a significant impact on the business. Estimate time and materials costs plus all other elements of Project Initiation process for IT or business projects. Govern or act as a gate keeper for the quality of the Corning systems. Serve as the technical lead on projects by participating as project resource representing their teams area of responsibility/area of expertise. Provide input to developing and testing standards by making recommendations to the Infrastructure Review Board. Manage and extend existing BizTalk standards for development Design and architect robust, scalable, fault tolerant BizTalk environments for high availability Develop roadmap and strategy for Integration services in the middleware space Prove concepts and introduce technologies related to Integration, ESB and SOA via Position Papers and ProofofConcepts Performance Metrics Overall project success and specifically the success of their area of responsibility on the project in terms of meeting project technical specification requirements. Extent to which demonstrates technical expertise and innovative approaches to improve a process or technology by finding ways to do even better using current, uptodate, technology. Continuously looking at how to do things better or differently for current work or for application in other situations such as Windows applications, back up processes and responses, and application of software such as Citrix, application security, etc. Feedback from customer satisfaction data (qualitative). Case closure rate for resolving specific problems or issues. Project timeline execution for specific part of project responsible for. Extent to which meets Individual Performance measures (objectives for specific work assigned to the individual). Extent to which makes decisions independent of supervisor
