QA Manager

Min 10 years exp in QAPosition Requirements 1. Abilities a. Ability to understand business objective; b. Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to move easily between varied tasks c. Ability to sniff problems, and identify gaps between business needs and solution implementation d. Ability to communicate with Business users and technology developers at conceptual as well as detailed level e. Ability to manage a small team of QA Testers 2. Skills and Experience a. At least 10+ years of experience in QA b. BS/MS in Computer Science or related field of education c. Experience with all stages of SDLC d. Knowledge of QA Best practices and industry standards e. Extensive experience in writing Test Plans and test cases f. Experience in Black box and white box testing techniques g. Expertise in Functional, Integration, Performance and Security testing h. Hands on coding experience in one or more scripting languages e.g. Perl, VBScript, Power Shell, etc. i. Experience in designing test frameworks using test automation tools like QTP, WinRunner, Load Runner, etc j. Strong knowledge of SQL and Database testing k. Preferable, Experience in designing and implementing test harnesses in any one or more programming languages like C#, Java, C++, etc. l. Preferable, Exposure to unit testing frameworks like NUnit, JUnit, etc m. (Preferable, not required) Investment Banking/Hedge Fund business knowledge n. (Preferable, not required) Knowledge of Front office Trading and Market Data Systems 3. Personality Characteristics / Traits a. Strong passion for quality and drive for results b. Excellent written and verbal communication skills capability to convince people based on reasoning, not solely on experience c. Creative, original thinker not constrained by status quo and shows initiative with conceptual intelligence
