Description Major accountabilities include but are not limited to Assist the Risk Manager with implementation of the Smart Grid Risk Management Approach in a manner that fulfills the strategic goals of the organization. This includes working with the appropriate personnel on mitigation strategies, and cross project dependencies. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the identification, collection and analysis of risk related trends, develop strategic plans, and implement risk reduction methods to mitigate future problems and present findings to executive management as necessary. Investigates and analyzes root causes, patterns, or trends as is relates to issues and risks, and helps to identify and implement corrective action where appropriate working back with the Smart Grid PMO and the Smart Grid Governance team. Educates and trains the leadership, staff and business associates as to the risk management program, as well as issue management and their respective responsibilities in carrying out the risk management program or issue ownership. Identify, chart, and track all Smart Grid related cross project dependencies, and present CPD information on a monthly basis. Facilitates, and advises other impacted Duke Energy business units on issues, risks, and cross project dependencies. Be responsible for the management of program issues as they are assigned. This includes tracking, reporting, and resolving by using the means necessary which includes meeting with multiple teams/individuals from across multiple business units. Provides a monthly summary to the leadership regarding the Smart Grid risks, issues, and cross project dependencies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Four (4) year degree in Risk Finance, Risk Management, or Business Administration or other applicable field. Demonstrated strong oral and writing skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management. Five (5) or more years of relevant business work experience, preferably heavy experience with risk and issue management. Demonstrated project management experience. Ability to reason logically, analyze and evaluate risk related data and information, and draw appropriate conclusions. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.
