LIPIX, The Long Island Patient Information Exchange is an independent, notforprofit corporation established to develop a Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) for Long Island, NY. Headquartered in Manhasset, NY, LIPIXs primary mission is to fundamentally improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare for the betterment of patients, providers and LIPIX with the ultimate goal being to organize the worlds health information so that it is globally accessible and useful while maintaining the highest standards of patient privacy.Provides 3tier web application programming support for LIPIX. Participates in the full life cycle of software development. Key Objectives/Deliverables Assists in designing and building software programs to support LIPIX web application. Supports software built by outsourced consultants (Eclipses, etc). Develops .NET applications, creates and updates databases and web pages. Writes SQL programs using established databases; modifies existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware or to improve system performance. Ensures project deadlines are met, escalates issues for appropriate and timely resolution, and adheres to project development methodologies. Provides regular feedback to management on project status. Performs software system testing and validation procedures. Supports endusers, resolves problems, troubleshoots and escalates complex problems to management. Coordinates software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. Monitors system backup and data recovery.
