Description

The Jr Developer, IT Web will be responsible for providing application maintenance and/or development of TXU Energy IT web solutions supporting TXU Energy, and ensuring compliance with performance and availability metrics to support business objectives.Key Accountabilities 1. Develop and implement enhancements to web solutions, as well as provide ongoing support for web solutions supporting TXU Energy; understand and deliver on the functional support needs of TXU Energy as they relate to web solutions.2. Follow support and development processes, standards, metrics, monitoring and reporting in order to ensure the web solutions are available, responsive, and achieving business outcomes and objectives.3. Work closely with vendors, service providers, and internal teams applicable to web solutions to define and achieve key performance indicators and Service Level Agreements with a collaborative spirit.4. Participate in all web development projects; participate in the creation of web development business cases; evaluate and make recommendations regarding web service providers and products.5. Provide input to short and long term strategic plans to ensure the web solutions meet existing and future needs and industry standards; execute disaster recovery and business continuity test plans and evaluate results as necessary.6. Conduct research and evaluate market insight of current and future technology innovations and forecasts regarding web development and make recommendations.Max Markup is 38% SKILLS Required Technical Skills 1. Extensive use of ASP.NET and C# with 3.5 Framework.2. Knowledge in developing interactive user experience using AJAX and related Web technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, and XML/XSL.3. Knowledge of web services and SOAP.4. Sitecore CMS (version 6.x)5. SOA knowledge and experience with applications architecture.6. SQL Server 2005 and Oracle 9i/10g.7.
