Messaging Administrator

Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include He/she shall work as part of the 24 X 7 Global Email Support team to provide highly available collaboration services to the organization. Candidate will work with vendors and other clients groups to ensure the smooth upgrade / conversion of services as dictated by business needs. Skills Required A strong knowledge of Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2018 Server Operating systems and MS cluster Services along with good background in network administrationSignificant understanding of Microsoft Collaboration and related technologies (MS Exchange, Active Directory, ActiveSync, OCS/LCS, ISA etc), and be able to demonstrate strong (at least 2 years) experience gained in application level 2/3 support. A strong understanding of the architecture, interoperability and protocols of messaging (eMail, Instant Messaging) environments ( MAPI, SMTP, POP, IMAP, HTTP, DNS, TLS/SSL, AntiVirus, AntiSpam etc). Proficiency in systems and applications administration gained through experience. Including OS and application installation, performance monitoring/tuning, OS/application patch management, H/W and storage management (SAN), backup and recovery processes, HA (high availability), scripting (powershell/VB). Must have good understanding of IT security. Certification MCSE (highly desirable)Soft skills Must have excellent communications skills in English (both verbal and written)A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Education AA / Undergraduate or graduate degree in MIS/IT, Comp Sc /Engg, EE, Networking or similar area or equivalent combination of relevant job experience and certifications
