Implementation Engineer

Description

The position will require the successful candidate to be able to multi task across numerous projects in the Edititorial, News and Media Technology Operations unit. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for delivering key parts of the projects assigned to them. The ability to follow standards and processes (such as change and release management) is a must for this role. Job Requirements Windows 2003 Installation / Administration. MS Clustering. Active Directory Administration. Excellent understanding of IP networking on Windows 2003 Server and firewall technologies. Produce service documentation for support to the required high standard. ITIL Based release management / change process. An advantage for the successful candidate to have is experience in both Solaris and Windows operating systems. Nice to haveVeritas Clustering. SAN configuration on Unix and Wintel OS. Server PCI cards including Emulex HBA Tivoli suite of management products such as TPM, ITM. MaCafee anti virus suite. Automated patch deployment. Patching of both Unix and Wintel OS. Web server technologies such as IIS / Apache. Database knowledge such as MS SQL. Virtualization technologies such as VMware. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification. Sun Certified System Administration. Windows 2018 Installation / Administration. Solaris Installation / Administration including v10. Solaris package management. Solaris Jumpstart. Experience with IBM BladeCenter technologies and HP DL and BL line of servers
