Description
Handson role in the construction, testing and implementation of the ETL components. This includes creating detail design specifications for the extraction, transformation and load processes (ETL), and unit tests Follow the Information Managements (IM) software development life cycle and adhere to ETL code standards and best practices in the department Develop HighLevel Conceptual Data Process Design Develop schedule specifications to automate ETL job workflow (using the ControlM Job Scheduling Software) Analyze code to ensure production readiness (performance, restartability, etc.) Accountable for assigned Data Integration Development Deliverables Participate in regular technical peer review sessions Understand data specifications and physical data models Seek out best practices to find opportunities for improvements in develop processes and makes recommendations for implementation Leverage skills and experience to contribute to overall architecture for IM systems, in developing endtoend system design for specific data warehouse application, propose new IM development standards, escalate issues and assess risks and look out for Data Integration Development interests in project teams Leverage skills and experience to contribute in maintaining and improving our 7x24 operation for the Data Integration Services (DIS) ETL Development team Skills 3 + years of Ab Initio development. Indepth understanding of the ETL process. Advanced SQL skills Unix development skills
