Description
This resource will be part of a team that is managing a critical base ofthe Network infrastructure components supporting technology refreshes,architecture updates, Incident & problem management and business projects.Essential elements are around capacity, performance, vendor, demand andprogram management. The primary role will be to perform daytodayNetwork activities to ensure the operational health of all Network devicesas per defined Service Level Objectives. The role requires focus oncontinuous process improvement and standardization. Particular areas ofemphasis will include ensuring system health, improving automatedmonitoring, incident and problem management. This resource will alsoparticipate in Network implementations/upgrades as a Network Technicallead. Personal Characteristics Ability to lead change, strong facilitation skills, understands events andconditions and their significance to the businessAccomplishments Strong understanding of the manufacturing industry and their relatedtechnologiesAbility to collaborate with other departmental units to introduce andimplement a systemic approach to solving crossfunctional problemsEstablishing a culture of strong teamwork.Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Ensure that Service Level Objectives are met for all Network systems.Maintain all compliance and audit related requirements for all SAP SOX404systemsServe as an Network technical knowledge expert for mediumtocomplexquestions pertaining system performance, capacity, health and be able totroubleshoot Network and DNS issues within the Tenneco network.Take leadership in effective incident management. Manage commonconfiguration issues and change processes across Tenneco Network systemsand execute changes based on evolving needs. Perform structured root causeanalysis and implement stringent controls to prevent reoccurrence.Immediate Deliverables Provide 3rd level production support including shared offhours oncallsupport with other team members. Understand and adhere to establishedchange management, communication and escalation procedures during plannedand unplanned outages.Ensure that BOS measures are at or above target and take proactive actionsin case targets are not met.Provide technical guidance to the team with regard to Network expertise Support all team members with guidance toward issue resolution, designconcepts, risk avoidance, and growth opportunitiesIdentify cases where existing designs can be improved and coordinate withmanager to decide whether or not action should be takenProvide technical input into decisionsKeep abreast of Network and DNS deployment and consolidation strategy andprovide appropriate input.Provide weekly reports to supervisor, enter weekly time into the timekeeping system BEN by the end of day Monday of the following week Review,understand, and comply with all documented policies
