Position OverviewOur client has an exciting short term opportunity for a Software Engineering Professional. The selected candidate will join the growing Certified Platforms test team, which validates cutting edge products designed for safe and secure markets, such as Aerospace and Defense, Industrial and Medical.Due to the nature of work, US citizenship / US permanent residency is required.ResponsibilitiesIndividual Contributor on a test team responsible for developing and executing test code for a new virtualization platformWill be doing regression testing on existing test plansDevelop automated test code and manual test case specifications from product requirementsDiscover and document product defects; verify correct operation once defects are fixedRequired Skills and ExperienceDue to the nature of work, US citizenship/US permanent residency is required25 years of overall Software QA and testing experience in embedded software/systemsMust have experience in C / C++ developmentMust have experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Expect, Python or TCL.Should have a solid understanding of computer architecture / operating systems such as scheduling, system calls, I/O, MMU, cache and bussesMust be knowldegeable of testing methodologiesMust be knowledgeable of debugging techniquesCandidates must have analysis and troubleshooting skills as part of their testing background.Desire to work in embedded systems fieldBS or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar degree
