AS/400 RPG Developer

Job Description This position would be accountable for the extending the functionality of our inhouse Merchandising systems through complete development life cycle tasks including analysis, design, and development. Approximately 7080% of this persons day will be designing/coding/testing and 2030%PM and idea creation and execution (analysis of ongoing performance etc.). This person will make modifications to programs in place, but for some functions, may need new code, in that case the person would own design and develop their own program.Requirements Technical/Required Skills 10+ years of RPG experience Advanced knowledge of RPG / RPG ILE, AS/400, CL Programming, and data structures required. Understands and can interface with SQL data structures. Can set and work to deadlines in high quality fashion. Willing to challenge the status quo and propose new ideas and solutions. Ability to interview users, analyze processes, and document system requirements is required. Excellent communication skills with management and endusers are required. Knowledge of JDAs Merchandise Management System (MMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS) or other Retail Supply Chain applications is a strong plus.
