Summary of the PositionThe UI Developer is responsible for designing and developing pages and applications that connect with our members and prospects. As part of the frontend team, you will be responsible for delivering thoughtful, easy to use interfaces that connect us with our members online. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with QA, Product and Project Management, and Application Development teams to support the maintenance and enhancement of our current applicationsEnsure the successful ontime delivery of your tasks by participating in all phases of the web application delivery process, from inception through development, QA, and postrelease supportEnsure a maintainable frontend codebase through proper design and continuous improvement of code and development of coding best practicesImplement industry best practices and usability standards on our websitesQualifications B.A. or B.S. degree in Art, Graphic Design, Advertising, Web Development Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a web application developerProven web development experience in .NETUnderstanding and ability to address or optimize for crossbrowser idiosyncrasies (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera) across platformsProficiency in C#.NET developmentExpert proficiency in XHTML, JavaScript, and CSSFlash experience preferredAwareness of current and emerging web and mobile trends, technologies, and best practicesExperience with Content Management SystemsFamiliarity with JavaScript frameworks & AJAXDemonstrated history of increasing customer satisfaction and improving key business performance indicators online through improved usability and designMicrosoft SharePoint experience preferredStrong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, & problem solving skillsAbility to work independently as well as with a larger teamAbility to work quickly and manage many different projects at a time within a fastpaced environment
