Description
Data Warehouse Data Modeler Essential Duties Implement logical and physical models for all layers of the data warehouse data model Develop and implement data migration scripts Participate in performance tuning activities including partitioning strategies, indexing strategies, and SQL optimization Map data elements of data sources into the domain data models. Determine and document business rules to be applied to data cleansing. Coordinate with development/implementation team to improve model formats and approaches with regard to implementation issues. Maintain BDM and LDM model Plans and implements strategies for bundling software for loads into multiple environments. Assists in all aspects of implementation of normalized Relational and Multidimensional Data Models. Responsibilities Documents and provides insight into Best Practices for Data Warehousing based on expertise and years of experience in data warehouse design and/or data modeling. Participates in Cross Functional Reviews/Peer Reviews as an Author or Reviewer. Follows configuration and change management processes as idefined by the Project Manager and Technical Manager. Coordinates with the Requirements Team to understand requirements, provide feedback, and request clarification as needed. Provides timely, complete and relevant input into schedule and planning for the implementation of the Data Warehouse. Identifies possible risks and solutions. Performs other duties as assigned by the Modeling and ETL Manager
