Planview Business Objects Developer

Description

The objective of the Planview Business Objects Developer is to fulfill a strategic role within Toyota Information Technology, developing and supporting an overall integration strategy and methodology surrounding their Enterprise Projects and transactional data flow, between the varying projects initiated within the enterprise. Responsibilities Review, design and develop Business Object Universes, Project Portfolio ManagementPPM and Enterprise Portfolio ManagmentEPM. Provide ongoing support and as needed configuration of Planview including workflow screens. Build interfaces with Pervasive. Interact with client throughout all phases of Business Objects development. Development and testing of multiple Business Objects reports. Responsible to work independently with minimum supervision Manage crossteam communication to ensure consistency of reporting, early identification of interdependencies, and elimination of potential bottlenecks in the deployment phase. Facilitate the resolution of issues, crises, and gaps. Assist in system maintenance and support in a production support environment as required by client All projects will have to be migrated to PlanView and the training implementation and migration has to be coordinated and timely. Business Challenge to Solve Create the ability to manage all resources on all projects being run in the enterprise by creating a standard process for creating projects, using standardized tasks, projecting estimated resource effort and tracking hours against those tasks and reporting variances. Currently projects are being managed with MSExcel Worksheets, MSAccess Databases, and MSProjects. There is no standard process for managing all projects. As part of the Planview implementation the current ongoing projects must be moved to PlanView with minimal impact to the business and provided as needed reporting via Business Objects.
