Software Test Engineer

The Johnson Controls Saft Advanced Hybrid Software Team is searching for an individual interested in contributing on a team tasked with developing new energy storage technology for the vehicles of future. We are searching for an experienced software test engineer who will join our team to test and verify the implementation of the product requirements for the Advanced Hybrid Battery Systems software. This individual should be highly motivated and ready to contribute to the success of the team. The Software Test Engineers serve as a key interface to the development team, providing valuable input ranging from design to product performance. Typical Duties 1. Read and interpret Product Specifications (PS) and Software Requirement Specifications (SRS). 2. Develop comprehensive functional test plans to confirm that the product behaves as expected with reference to specific documented software requirements. 3. Stores and updates Software Test Cases (STCs) 4. Performs the STCs documented in the Software Change Requests (SCRs) or in the Software Test Plan (STP). 5. Approves software image for release. 6. Review status of SCRs ready for testing. 7. Manage work through use of Configuration Management and Issue Tracking tools. 8. Support creation and review of SRS. 9. Support creation and review of Software Development Plan (SDP) 10. Execute the Software Development Process as directed. 11. Member of Hybrid Battery Systems team, participating in meetings and reviews as directed. 12. Communicate with extended software team in other JCS locations.
