Performance Tester

Description

Experience with large complex financial and contract management systems. Domain knowledge in GSA information systems Will support the design and implementation of performance testing across multiple applications. Create and maintain a performance test strategy that incorporates activities throughout the SDLC. Coordinate all activities between various application development, infrastructure and project management teams that are required to design and implement a performance test strategy. Design, build and execute performance test cases based on specific organizational goals. Create and deliver reports detailing the status and results of performance test activities. Lead and train the test team on performance strategies and testing. Leverage modeling and simulation, performance testing, trending and forecasting, and monitoring and analysis techniques to identify and support areas of performance improvement. Expertise in establishing and implementing a performance test strategy. 4+ years of experience with using monitoring and performance testing tools. 4+ years of experience with analyzing systems from an application and infrastructure perspective to provide recommendations for performance optimization. Strong knowledge of java, VB script and object oriented programming concepts. Solid experience in testing applications developed in various technologies and languages including Java. 4+ years with software development life cycles and QA methodologies. Good technical writing and communication skills. Knowledge of application profiling, modeling, and simulations. Experience defining performance thresholds and key performance indicators. Ability to quickly understand various architectures in order to identify performance concerns and assist in defining performance improvements. Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of inhouse developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
