Description
Websphere Developer to join T.Rowe Prices application support team specific to their Retail applications. They are looking to schedule interviews immediately. Manager will interview in person off the resume or can do phone screen. They will not hire off the phone. Their is an identical position with the Retail Group, we are recruiting for 2 positions. Would like to target a BR of 85 95hr. If we where to find a developer with all the skills list and ETL (Informatica) we could bill 100 plus hr.The description mentions 6 month contract. It is renewed every 6 months. Manager has someone on their team who has been on contract 3 years. They will go beyond 6 months.This position provides production support for the firm's 160 Retail applications including Advisory, Connect, LEADS, Sales Desktop, and Vantage. These applications are complex in nature with many business rules and interfacing applications. They also cover a vast array of technologies (Websphere, ZK, MQ Series, etc.). These applications are used by our internal representatives in servicing our customers/clients. Additional Job Info The primary purpose of this position is to provide expert response to production issues and maintain existing service levels. A candidate successful in this position is one that comprehends the highly specialized business knowledge that extends beyond the technical requirements of supporting java applications. This includes the understanding of specific business rules and complex data structures that drive the primary Retail transactional system, which is critical knowledge to prevent potential financial exposure. This position has rotating on call responsibilities which may include after hours or weekend work. Candidates are responsible for troubleshooting system events and identifying root cause of events. Being the first line of contact for production issues, this candidate is responsible for timely and thorough troubleshooting of applications and implementation of solutions. The candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as interaction with various levels of management within IT and the business will be required. Additional responsibilities include development of bug fixes, trending of issues, recommendations on application and system optimizations, coordination of appropriate resources to assist with problem resolution, documentation of issues and resolution, and the ability to understand database structures and write SQL.
