Foster Farms is based out of Livingston, California and has manufacturing facilities in Washington, Oregon, Alabama, Louisiana, and California. Foster Farms operates California facilities in Fresno, Turlock, Livingston, and Porterville.Foster Farms implemented a broad SAP footprint (including full ERP, SCM, and BI capabilities) in 2004 and has developed a strong internal team of IT professionals who support the SAP environment and implement a steady stream of new capabilities on a regular basis. POSITION PROFILE To provide professional services in support of a project to design and deploy a global SAP Quality Management solution to all Foster Farms manufacturing sites. This position will review and assess the proposed system design of the HACCP/SSOP phase. It has been decided by Foster Farms to introduce SAP QM in a phased manner, both by location and by functionality. The Farmerville, Louisiana facility went live in March, 2010 with SAP QM and a customdeveloped SAP MII solution for buffered and mobile device enabled QM results recording for all product quality and control point results recording. The current phase of QM results recording for both Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), which is USDA regulated, and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) is scheduled to be implemented at the Farmerville facility in September, 2010. Doing so, the Farmerville manufacturing facility will be provided with the complete Quality Management solution as it pertains to Foster Farms. Once the implementation is completed at Farmerville, the full QM functionality will then be implemented at all of the other manufacturing facilities over the next couple of years. Due to the unique USDA requirements at each manufacturing location, a HACCP design cannot be constructed solely for the Farmerville location. A complete HACCP/SSOP asis process and business requirements assessment has already been completed for all Foster Farms manufacturing facilities. This will help ensure that a comprehensive HACCP/SSOP design is developed inclusive of all of the requirements at all Foster Farms manufacturing facilities. Foster Farms has multiple internal IT resources trained and familiar with SAP QM who participated in and have since supported the original product quality and control points SAP QM implementation at Farmerville. These resources have also produced a blueprint document with the proposed solution for accommodating the HACCP/SSOP requirements. The primary focus of the consulting engagement represented by this profile is to assist the Foster Farms QM team in validating this proposed design and addressing any specific gaps in the design or the teams current QM knowledge.
