Associated Content is looking for a PHP Developer/Software Engineer to build new consumer applications on top of our Content Management System. This position is part of a dynamic, highenergy Application Development team.Responsibilities Your role will be to develop and maintain applications that allow consumers to search and transact with a wide range of services. You will be responsible for Developing Web applications using PHPBuilding features with JavaScript, XML, CSS, DHTML and HTMLDesign and development of MYSQL databasesTaking ownership of the quality and usability of the applicationPartnering with Content Contributors, Product Management, QA, and Services Delivery to understand business requirements and translate them into high quality applicationsJob Qualifications Applied experience with PHP (or similar web based language) and any of these languages a plus JavaScript, AJAX, XML, CSS, DHTML and HTMLObject Oriented development skills and building online applicationsExperience with database design and development with MSSQL, MYSQL or OracleOptional experience with other languages and technologies a plus C, Shell Script, PERL, OO frameworksExperience with Linux platformBS/BA in Computer Science or related working experienceHave a passion for usability, strong project management skills, excellent written and oral communication skillsAble to collaborate and thrive in a fastpaced highperformance environment
