Description
Highly experienced ETL developer needed to implement data loads and transformations for Credit Card data warehouse. Existing warehouse is very large (78 terabytes) and covers multiple subject areas such as Finance, Operations, Risk, and Marketing. Primary ETL development experience in MS SQL Server (2000 and/or 2005) is required. Use of DTS, SSIS and TransactSQL to create data load and transformation processes required. Experience developing SQL Server OLAP applications strongly preferred and would be a plus (Analysis Services 2000/2005). Knowledge of both transaction system database and data modeling design approaches (entityrelationship diagrams, normalization) as well as business intelligence design approaches (star schema, denormalization). Demonstrated experience in developing data architectures and ETL application architectures related to warehouse data sourcing. Expert knowledge of data warehouse architectural concepts along with experience in promoting ETL and OLAP applications to production environment. Solid experience in analyzing query performance issues and modifying data structures or application code to remedy performance problems. Significant client interaction will be part of this contract assignment. Excellent verbal and written communications skills required. Resource must be able to assist in driving out business requirements and business rules for data transformations. Attention to detail and committed to creating high quality code which adds value to data warehouse data assets.
