Description
An AIX Implementation Engineer's duties will include a combination of systems architecture, systems development, AIX OS lifecycle development, technical assessments, implementation engineering, regression process development, SAN support from a directory standpoint, technology scaling, server builds, migration and/or transition planning, project planning, standards validation/development, technical documentation, presentation to management, training and mentoring of more junior staff, and troubleshooting and problem resolution Must have indepth knowledge on Power5/Power6 hardware, HMC v6 and v7, AIX 5.3 and AIX 6.1, VIOS 1.x and VIOS 2.1. Must have a good working knowledge of NIM some HACMP skills would be desirable. Would help greatly if they had extensive Perl programming experience
