The Lead Software Engineer contractor is a professional with a solid technical expertise in Java J2EE, Spring Hibernate and SOA. The contractor will work on AAMC rearchitecture projects with minimum supervision. [For the lead] Performs as a technical lead, assists management with work estimates and guides other developers.Qualifications Advanced knowledge of Java and J2EE Minimum of 8 yearsAdvanced experience with Java Web Application frameworkMinimum of 5 years of strong practical experience with Spring Framework and HibernateStrong practical experience with User Interface Design Minimum of 4 years experience with Ajax technology and JavaScript/AjaxStrong practical experience with relational database management system working experience with Oracle is preferredWorking experience with Web services and service oriented architecture principles is a mustMinimum of 5 years of working experience with design patterns, continuous integration, automated unit test and test driven development Work experience on large scale projects is a mustSolid experience with WebSphere or equivalent application serversStrong interpersonal skillsDemonstrated proficiency at following Iterative development life cycles and associated standards and proceduresDemonstrated experience in ObjectOriented Design Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, plus a minimum of 10 years of related professional experience. Works with other software engineer to develop project estimates, tasks and schedules Provides project status updates to manager and business partners. Directs development of system documentation according to established standards. Participates in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews Interfaces regularly with other I.T. teams and sections, business partners and business/requirements analysts to determine new system requirements and to solve complex problems Provides technical mentoring to developers.
