ROLE Weblogic Administrator RESPONSIBILITIES We need to upgrade our BEA Weblogic software. Weblogic is the software that runs Java code. Note that this is usually an administrator that does this. Either a special Weblogic Administrator, or part of a Unix Administrators functions. Project ObjectivesThis project has these focused objectives Migrate WebLogic application environment from Solaris to Red Hat Linux Upgrade WebLogic from v8 to v11 Upgrade Java from v1.4 to v1.6 Upgrade of Enterprise Java Beans from v2.1 to v3.0 Provide Client with WebLogic and Java support in testing Red Hat Linux environment prior toproduction cutover Project ScopeThe following activities are in scope for this Project Installation of WebLogic Server v11 on targeted Red Hat Linux based server Configuration of WebLogic v11 Domain Perform deployment, configuration, and testing of existing Java application in WebLogic11/Red Hat Linux/Java v1.6 environment Perform migration of Java 1.4 codebase to Java 1.6 environment (including JSP compilationand verification) Perform migration of existing Enterprise Java Beans v2.1 to EJB v3.0 Perform migration of existing entity beans to EJB 3.0Inventory
